The client asked us to re-divide, renovate and modernize this 1930 maisonette residence located in the Apollo neighborhood of Amsterdam. We outfitted the home with tailor-made interior elements including a customized kitchen, an enlarged bathroom and a spacious, 50m2 roof terrace with pergola. The result is a contemporary home with beautiful, classical elements.

We broke through the existing kitchen to make room for a larger kitchen/dining room. The modern kitchen with wall cabinetry was tailor made and provides a contemporary counterpart to the classical interior with herringbone floors. We created a modern and larger bathroom, as well as a roof terrace. Original, classical elements dating from the Amsterdam School period were preserved and are the cohesive basis for the interior.
