In an effort to strengthen the image of the city of Alkmaar as a business center, we created a design for a business hub located in the Boekelermeer next to the AZ football stadium. We designed a building that would bring people together and allow them to make connections. The hub is a tenant building that is open 24 hours per day and offers a varied program targeting commuters and people from Alkmaar.

The hub is situated in a business park and is geared toward entrepreneurs who are looking for flexible commercial space. High-rise buildings on the highway side serve as a buffer against the noise from the A9 and the low-rise buildings behind are located in a low-noise area. The central, public square includes flexible aspects of the building that allow for both growth and a reduction in size.
The business hub houses offices, an occupational health doctor, post office, repro, exhibition space, childcare facility, gym and a Grand Café. Meeting people and recreation are central to the concept.
